Mrs. Maugh

Welcome Back!

Dear Parents,

Our next unit is an American history unit where we will study about early America including Roanoke, Jamestown, and the Pilgrims.

The next sight word test will be November 7th and the next spelling test will be November 8th. We will send home the spelling words for this test on October 31st.

Day of the Notables projects are due on October 31st.  Your child may come to school dressed as their Notable person and they will present their reports in the morning. We will have a parade in the afternoon at 2:30pm so we can see all of the Notable costumes and our Halloween party will be directly after the parade.

We have a field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on November 11th. Our music program will be on Wednesday, November 13th from 6:00pm-7:00pm and our field trip to the Boulder Dinner Theater is on November 15th. It's going to be a very busy week!

Save the Date because Excel Academy will be celebrating Veteran's Day on Tuesday, November 12th.  We will have a Veteran's breakfast.  If you, or a family member, is a veteran please join us for breakfast so we can honor you for your service to our country.

Thank you!

Mrs. Maugh

Please remember school starts at 8:13 a.m. and ends at 3:20 p.m.

Change of clothes-accidents of one kind or another can happen.

Water bottles that are easy to open, do not leak, and fit in the K-1 sinks to be easily filled.

LABEL-water bottles, lunch boxes, jackets, coats, etc….otherwise “Lost and Found” grows rapidly.

We have an afternoon snack time but it is short, so easy, quick, healthy snacks, and no colored drinks.

Watch the weather and come to school prepared.
